Vocational Rehabilitation
Our Mission:
The Fort Mojave Vocational Rehabilitation Program (FMVR) is designed to provide vocational rehabilitation services including culturally appropriate services to American Indians with disabilities who reside on or near the Fort Mojave Indian Reservation. Services provided are consistent with such eligible individual’s strengths, resources, priorities, concerns, abilities, capabilities, interests, and informed choice so that such individuals may prepare for and engage in high-quality employment that will increase opportunities for self-sufficiency.
Our Vision:
The purpose of the Vocational Rehabilitation Program is to provide vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities so that they may prepare for and engage in gainful employment, including self-employment, telecommuting, and business ownership.
Services:
Counseling and guidance
Medical services and equipment
Additional assessments through medical specialty exams, psychological and vocational testing, as needed
Vocational training and education
On-the-job training (OJT)/ Job development and placement
Referral to other community resources
Telecommunications, sensory and other technological aids, and devices
Transportation assistance for job related activities
Assistance with maintenance costs
Supported employment services, including job placement and job coaching
Job seeking skills training (Computer lab availability)
Work tools, equipment and license fees
Work clothes, uniforms and safety equipment
Personal assistance services
Services for family members
Self-employment services
Post employment services
Please Note: Funds are not available to consumers until their program has been developed in the form of an approved Individual Plan Employment
